This June marked the one-year anniversary of the I.C.E. raid at Del Monte food processing plant in
The Week of Action and Prayer began with faith communities reflecting and praying specifically for immigrants and their struggle.
The first event was panel of speakers presented by the Portland Central America Solidarity Committee (PCASC), where the audience heard from immigrants and immigrant allies about issues related to immigration.
A press conference and vigil were held at the Del Monte plant, calling attention to unfair working conditions and the broken immigration system currently in place.

The final event of the week was a screening of a documentary named “Frozen Dreams,” which provided a testimonial of the people detained in the Del Monte raid and how their lives have been altered because of it.
